One redemption endpoint

Fluxr detects OTT, 1Voucher, and BluVoucher from the voucher code. For Standard Bank, Nedbank, or Capitec, send the provider and PIN.

Stable error codes

Handle failures with codes such as ALREADY_REDEEMED, EXPIRED, INVALID_VOUCHER, and PROVIDER_DOWN. Each code has clear retry guidance.

ZAR wallet settlement

A successful redemption credits the voucher value, less the platform fee, to your wallet. The response includes the new balance.

Accept vouchers as payment ​

Airtime shops, USSD services, betting platforms, and other businesses accept vouchers as payment. Fluxr handles the provider redemption and credits the net amount to your ZAR wallet.

  • For OTT, 1Voucher, and BluVoucher, send the voucher code. Fluxr selects the provider.
  • For Standard Bank Instant Money, Nedbank CashOut, and Capitec, also send the provider and voucher PIN.
  • Use the redemption history and wallet ledger to reconcile each payment.

For retail vouchers, this request is enough to start a redemption. A successful response includes the redemption record and your updated wallet balance. If the outcome is still pending, check its status instead of submitting the voucher again. See the API overview for authentication and response formats, and error codes for failure handling.

Frequently asked questions ​

Which vouchers can I redeem? ​

OTT, 1Voucher (Flash), and BluVoucher retail vouchers, plus Standard Bank Instant Money, Nedbank CashOut, and Capitec cash-out vouchers. Fluxr settles all redemptions in South African Rand.

Do I need to tell the API which provider a voucher belongs to? ​

No. Fluxr detects the provider for retail vouchers. It checks ambiguous 12-digit codes with BluVoucher before routing them to OTT. Bank cash-out vouchers need the provider field and the voucher pin.

What happens when a redemption fails? ​

The response includes a stable error code and a customer message. Use the code in your application logic. Fluxr keeps the result for already redeemed, expired, and cancelled vouchers, so submitting the same code again does not call the provider.

What if a redemption is left pending? ​

A 409 PENDING_CONFIRMATION response means the provider hasn't confirmed the outcome. Do not submit the voucher again because the provider may already have used it. Poll GET /api/v1/redemptions/{id} until the status changes to success or failed. Fluxr also checks unresolved attempts in the background.

How do I get paid? ​

A successful redemption credits the voucher's face value minus the platform fee to your vendor wallet. The response includes a wallet snapshot. Use the wallet endpoints to read the current balance and transaction history.
